7EV3 is Severiano Martinez, multimedia artist born 1979 Canton, Ohio.  He has been around the world looking for his baby.

In 2003, Severiano founded Shinkoyo with fellow Oberlin Conservatory artists. Shinkoyo has grown into a diverse multimedia arts label with studios and performance spaces in Oakland CA and Brooklyn NY,

Severiano’s work primarily deals with raw emotions, sex, symbols, maskplay, ritual, ceremony, and their relationships to multimedia. Works often take the form of A/V installations, videos, recordings, scores, or writings, which can be found largely through Shinkoyo.  In 2008, Severiano wrote Synergetic Art and Its Practices, a 93-page survey of Multimedia as it applies to contemporary global society, historically notable works of specific artists, and his personal creative practice.

Severiano has exhibited work and/or performed at the D’melio Terras Gallery (NYC), California College of Arts, Roulette (NYC), Recombinant Media Lab (San Francisco), Labor Gras (Berlin), The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Baltimore Museum of Art, PS1 (NYC), South by Southwest (Austin), CMJ (NYC), The Redcat Center (Los Angeles), and the Mattress Factory (Pittsburgh). He is also the author of two books, Phrenology and Soaked Love. Severiano’s writing was last featured in issue No. 9 of K.48 magazine.
