ABLEHEARTS is Brooklyn sound and video artist THOMAS ARSENAULT.
Brutally personal “The Flood” is the sound of fragile magic and teenage catechism love notes amidst the aura of broken toys and religious shame.
It is a wash of psycho-sexual memories from childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood, sung with touches of devotional innocence, creepiness, neediness, and love. “The Flood” is about the skeletons in your closet, divine punishment, the merger of boy and machine, lover and lord, farm and city. Tom does not fit in – but he’ll make you wonder why anybody would ever want to, with his delicate melodies and dusty electronics.

Shinkoyo is pleased to present this offering, our first cassette release. White Dreams is a slow jam committed to tape two summers ago in the The Silent Barn Midwest. A very intimate field document of sad synth and misty wailings, it has been a favorite ever since. We are excited to finally release it properly – on an all white cassette, in a hand painted box.
